Rainy days on the Scilly Isles
Thankfully there aren't too many rainy days on the Isles of Scilly, but if it is a bit wet outside then the guesthouse is a cosy option for the day with comfy sofas and plenty of games to play in the sitting room.
If you want to get out and about and it's not beach weather then there are plenty of 'rainy day' activities on offer too:
Swimming
There is an indoor swimming pool on the island, the Normandy Pool, which is open all year round. There are special sessions including Aqua-fit and Water Babies. You can find out more details and see there timetable on the Active Scilly website.
Museum
The Isles of Scilly Museum on St Mary's has a fantastic collection of exhibits which look at the social, maritime and natural history of the islands. From Bronze Age artefacts through to a fully rigged pilot gig from 1877 - there's plenty to keep you occupied.
Craft and cooking
There are often special classes running - such as art workshops or baking lessons - whcih vary on a week-to-week basis. Please dont' hesitate to get in touch with Sabine and she can find out exactly what is going on during your visit.
Or, even if it is raining, you can just get wrapped up and go for a walk in the rain and then get back to the guesthouse for a well-earned hot chocolate!
